Q:
The auther says that even though she feels at home in the multi-cultural mix of Hawaii, she is still drawn to China and wants to spend time there to discover who she really is. Why do you think she feels this way? Do you think coming to term with your own cultural identity is important? Why or why not?

A:
I think because she wants to find answer to clear her mind.
I don't think it is not that much important for me to come to tearm with my cultural identity because I think multi-cultural is one of the identity of her. It doesn't has to be one culture for one person. I have a friend who is half of Japanese and Malaysian but she follows both Japan and Malaysia's cultural habit. So I think she doesn't need to limit the cltural identity.

I agree with you. I think she doesn't need to be tied only to the cultural identity, too. Identity is made up of various stuff, right?

It is regretabble to limit own cultural identity and we should receive various cultural identity.

  4. I also agree that having more than one cultural identity can be a good idea. Sometimes it may get confusing, but in today's society many of us have more than one culture that we relate to.
